Learn English by Speaking It
Learn English by Speaking ItIf you are looking for a way to learn English, you may be searching for a way to learn English by speaking it. This is sometimes a tough goal because many people don't have an adequate background in the language or don't speak it that well. If you are looking for a way to learn English by speaking it, then this article may be able to help you.Of course, I will talk about a few ways to learn English by speaking it, but I should point out that not every English teacher will teach this. Some teachers of English will only teach phrases and sentences. I know that it can be hard, but there are ways to help you get the best results possible.First, you need to start by making sure that you are really passionate about learning English. If you are not, you will be so focused on just speaking it that you won't be very effective at all. Many students who go to classes and try to 'learn' English will make up excuses for why they don't want to do their work. You should be passionate about it and if you aren't, then it isn't going to be very effective.Next, it is important that you understand how to speak English well. Try to understand as much of the vocabulary as you can. You should try to listen to people speak and try to learn what they are saying. This can be tricky because you want to learn it, but you also want to listen for words that are important to them. When you have heard a lot of people speak and understand them, it is time to try to speak them back. You will probably end up making a lot of mistakes here, but if you have been able to understand a lot of phrases, then you can now correct them. The more mistakes you make, the more comfortable you will be in speaking English. After you have gotten some confidence in speaking English, you can start to look for a way to learn English by speaking it. You can find many people that will tutor you, but they will also be willing to teach you the more complex things as well. This can be a great wa y to learn a new language.Remember that it isn't just a matter of knowing how to speak English. It is also a matter of being able to speak and understand it. Once you have started to understand it, you will be able to use it better and continue to use it. Keep in mind that while you are learning a new language, the main goal is to be able to communicate effectively with others and not to be a native speaker. As I mentioned earlier, I'm not a professional English teacher or anything, but I am an English teacher. The one thing that I hope you take away from this article is that it is possible to learn English by speaking it. While it is the most common method, it is certainly not the only way to do it.

italki World Cup Language Challenge Week 6 LIVE commentary preparations
italki World Cup Language Challenge Week 6 LIVE commentary preparations Lindsaydoeslanguages is blogging about her World Cup Language Challenge and weâre reposting here to share with the entire italki Community. Original post here. Eek. What am I doing, guys?! This is scary. After watching a handful of YouTube videos of Portuguese football commentary Iâm hoping that Brazil and the Netherlands score a lot of goals on Saturday â" that way, my commentary will consist mostly of GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! No, Iâm kidding! Although I am a little nervous, I am super excited to see how this goes. Also, Brazil vs Netherlands? As in Portuguese vs Dutch? As in the two languages Iâve been learning for the past few months? Who am I supposed to support?! Thereâs a lot of words I have to learn for the live commentary to make sure that I can speak as on cue as possible and keep up with all the action. I should point out right about here that Iâm not a mega football fan, so I probably wonât know any names of players and so this does have the potential to be very funny! Check out my very jazzy preparation vocabulary notes full of useful words (Iâm bound to have missed something!) and some interesting phrases Iâve picked up from the videos Iâve been watching. Too jazzy? Donât forget to bookmark the link right here in preparation for Saturday at 21.00GMT. Be there or be square. Because apparently being square is a bad thing. Tips and Tricks for the NCLEX RN
Tips and Tricks for the NCLEX RN We gathered a group of nurses together who passed their exam on the first time. These are nurses that felt they did very well on the NCLEX-RN, and most passed with less than 80 questions. The group had suggestions. The first tip was questions, questions, questions (and answers). Many of them had done 3000-5000 questions. The vast majority used the Kaplan class and others used sources such as Board Vitals and ATI. Kaplan was really a staple of the group, though priced considerably higher than other offerings. The questions from ATI were ranked harder than what was on the exam, while Board Vitals provided adaptive testing and all of the different question types (hotspotting, multiple select). Some good topic areas to cover: Lab values, Urine Culture, Process around starting a new IV, Child Dev, Formulas, Formulas, Formulas! Sometimes the same math problem will be asked in a couple of different ways, or you may have to make the jump on unit conversions. They are not trying to trick you, but be careful about those conversions. Remember that acute conditions come first and then chronic conditions come later. There are several types of questions on the exam: multiple choice, multiple select, graphics based (hotspotting), drag and drop, and interpretation type questions. Based on the nurses we interviewed, the interpretation type questions (graphs, charts etc) were not terribly advanced or common. If you know how to read a basic plot chart, you should be able to handle that type of question pretty readily. Most that we interviewed had 6-10 pharma questions. These tended to be tougher questions, but you should be able to eliminate the obvious wrong choices. (apparently there are always a couple of really mismatched choices) More generally, most of the questions have 2-3 sentence question stems. The number of SATAs were very wide ranging. Some had a few, and others had quite a few. Itâs worth reviewing those pretty heavily. At some point, make sure to sit down and do 265 questions in an actual timed setting. We think that Board Vitals is the best resource for the adaptive, timed testing environment.

English Words - Know Them
English Words - Know ThemEnglish words can be a tedious task to learn and you will not find an easier way. You can also do it in a different language. There are two methods to consider when you want to know the English words in a foreign language. One of the easiest ways to learn a new language is to use an audio. Listen to the words and try to understand them. An audio helps you with the process of learning. This method will only teach you a few words that have different meanings. This is not a good method if you want to know hundreds of words. The second method to learn vocabulary is to search for English words in a book that is written in the language you want to learn. For example, if you want to learn the English words 'fish'mice', you can go to your local bookstore and search for the words on the shelves. If you do not know the correct spelling, you will find an online dictionary that is helpful for these words. It is not necessary that you have to purchase the book or audio to h elp you learn English words. You can also find these books in the public library. If you want to know the English words, your best option would be to find a site that provides translations of the words in different languages. There are many sites that provide English words, but you need to find one that is accessible in the language you want to learn. You can also search on Google as well as other search engines for English words. There are several keywords that are common to all languages and these words should provide you with useful information. If you know some words or phrases in the English language, you can use these words in a sentence. For example, 'a fish swims faster than a fish can swim'.Learning the English words can be a hard part, but it is a simple process once you have learned the proper techniques. Even though this method does not teach you how to use a computer or laptop, it will definitely help you learn vocabulary, for example, the English words 'mother's', 'man's' , 'father's' etc.

What is a Capo Everything You Need to Know Here.
What is a Capo Everything You Need to Know Here. What is a Capo? Jessica Dais A capo is a helpful device that allows you to easily change the key of a song while using the standard âopen positionâ chords that every guitarist knows. With a capo, you can play those same chords in any fret position along the neck of the guitar. Keep reading to find more answers to all of your capo-related questions! What is a Capo? A capo (pronounced âcape-ohâ) is a small clamp that you can attach to the neck of the guitar at a specific fret. What does a capo do? It keeps all of the guitars strings depressed at that specific fret, all of the time. The parts of the capo that squeeze the strings against the fret board are made of rubber, so they donât damage the wood on your guitar. Letâs say you attach the capo at fret two. It will squeeze down all of the strings at fret two and keep them pressed down. So itâs like youâre playing a note at fret two with your finger, but on all six strings simultaneously. If you were to lay your index finger across all six strings at fret two and press down hard enough so that all the notes at fret two sounded clearly on each string, that technique would be called a âbarre.â This barre technique is used by guitarists all the time, but if you are just beginning you may not have tried it yet and when you do, it will take a few weeks to master. Attaching a capo is a much easier way to achieve the same result. You could say that the capo produces a permanent barre at a specific fret. Now letâs look at what exactly happens when you have a capo attached to your guitar. How Does a Capo Work? Letâs use the capo attached at fret two as an example again, although you can put the capo across any fret. Once the capo is on, when you play your strings open, the notes that sound are not E, A, D, G, B, and E (the notes of open strings six through one). Instead, they are F#, B, E, A, C#, and F#. We say these notes are âone tone higherâ or a âwhole stepâ higher (the distance of two frets) than the normal open string notes. If you think of fret three as if it were fret one, and form a C chord as you normally would (but above the capo), it will sound as a D chord. If you played a song with Am, G, and C chords (which would be in the key of C major), you will hear Bm, A, and D chords (which would move the song to the key of D major). Every time you move the capo one fret higher, you have raised the music by one key. The most common reason for changing the key of a song is to make it easier to sing in your vocal range. To hear the sound of a guitar with a capo on, listen to âHere Comes the Sunâ by the Beatles. The capo is on fret seven and it gives the guitar a bright, mandolin-like quality. The chord progression would be in the key of D major, but with the capo on, it comes out in A major. Who Should Use a Capo? For beginners, using a capo means that you can play more songs with a limited knowledge of chords and delay learning those difficult âbarre chordsâ you may have heard about. But capos are not just for beginners. Many songwriters use capos so they can play chords in the style theyre accustomed to anywhere along the neck of the guitar. By moving the capo, they can easily try singing a song in different keys until they find the one that works best for their voice. In fact, flamenco guitar players routinely use a capo in the first few frets for two reasons â" to play songs in the traditional keys, but also for the way the capo tends to push the strings closer to the neck, making chords and fast melodic runs easier to play. Try this if your guitar is a beginner model that is a bit more difficult to play. SEE ALSO: 5 Guitar Gadgets That Will Change Your Life Which Capo is the Best? There are a few different capo designs. One of the best capos is the Shubb, which retails for about $16 on Amazon. Itâs made of rugged steel and clamps on very securely. This is handy because if you accidentally bump the capo while playing, it wonât pop off and ruin your performance. If youâre on a budget, one of Amazonâs best sellers is the UGY plastic capo which retails for about $7. This capo uses a spring action and can be attached or moved very quickly by squeezing two levers together. There are many manufacturers making capos in this style. A third option is the Dunlop elastic capo, starting at around $3. It uses a stretchy elastic cloth that attaches to a rubber coated, pole piece. Several holes are provided along the elastic to allow for different tensions, as the neck gets wider the higher you go. Whatever style you prefer, you need to make sure you order the right one for the type of guitar you have. If you order the wrong one, it wonât squeeze the strings correctly. A âsteel stringâ guitar capo has a slight curvature to the part that lies across the fret board, as the fret board on a steel string guitar is slightly convex. A ânylon stringâ guitar capo is wider and very flat. Many beginning guitarists often ask their instructors, What is a capo? Now that you know what a capo is and how to use one, youâll be on your way to playing more songs than you thought you could! Youâll also be able to more easily play and sing along at the same time. Although the capo can be a very helpful tool, try not to rely on it too much. Itâs still very important to expand your knowledge of different chords on the guitar. While in grad school, one tends to focus only on grad school itself and it is hard to see (let alone imagine) the light at the end of the tunnel. With classes, assignments, networking, and the impending job search, things can quickly become overwhelming. Fortunately, a checklist for your final semester of grad school can help keep these priorities straight. Everyones experience with grad school is different. Whether your journey has been two years or eight years, it can be helpful to stay prepared with a checklist for your final semester of grad school. All of your hard work is for nothing if you dont cross the finish line. Allow yourself adequate time to finish projects and prepare for presentations or exams. When competing demands surface, give grad school priority if possible. Schedule time for school, but also for leisure and family so you dont feel too deprived or disconnected. Visit your grad schools career center for guidance Your advisor and faculty are not your only on-campus resources for advice. Although they may have great tips related to your industry, they may not have enough time to help you actually apply for jobs, review your resume, or practice interview skills. Take advantage of your campus career center. Depending on your school, the career center will likely offer helpful individual or group sessions on many subjects, such as: Writing a resume or cover letter Completing job applications Polishing your interview skills Using social media to seek jobs Many colleges and universities also host events related to careers, such as on-campus interviewing with prospective employers and job fairs. These services are typically included in the cost of tuition, so take full advantage while you can. Meet with your grad school advisor If you havent already, you need to see your advisor to confirm you are on track to complete all requirements for graduation. You dont want to be on the receiving end of a dreaded email or phone call about missing required credits. The earlier you talk to your advisor, the better your chances of correcting your course load or any discrepancies that could prevent you from graduating on time. While speaking with your advisor, you may also want to inquire about career opportunities, applying for and attending graduation ceremonies, and any other post-graduation advice. [RELATED: 5 Questions Grad Students Should Ask Their Advisors] Network during your final semester As a graduate student, you have had several opportunities to connect with peers, faculty, researchers, and other professionals in your field. Now is the time to reach out to your network. Check in to see how they are doing, and what they are working on and where. Let them know you are finishing up grad school and what your future plans are. Also, ask for help if you need it. Know someone who landed a great job where youd also like to work? Ask him or her for pointers on securing and acing an interview. They might even be able to recommend you to the hiring manager! Assess your post-grad financial situation This checklist item is an important one! While in grad school, it is likely you had some sort of financial aid. Many students have been relying on loans since their undergrad programs. As you exit grad school, you should have a firm understanding of your finances. There are a few questions you might want to ask yourself, such as: How much will you owe in student loans each month? How much do your bills cost? How much money can you reasonably expect to make and whats the minimum you would need to earn to support yourself? Knowing the answers to these questions will help get you ready to make important financial decisions. Create a reasonable budget, focus on your job search, and, if needed, identify areas in which you can trim excess expenses. Earning a graduate degree is an exciting time! Enjoy your last semester and work hard, but also make sure you are preparing yourself to exit grad school successfully. Good luck! Any topics you want to know more about? Let us know!
